This policy explains what Optiseed collects when you use optiseed.io or apply for the Founding Cohort, why, and how you can reach us about it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect
- What you give us. If you apply for a place or join the waitlist: your name, work email, company, website, role, stage, headcount and the answers you give on the form. If you write to us, the contents of your message.
- How the site is used. Only if you accept cookies: which pages are visited and roughly how the site is used, so we can improve it. Nothing for advertising, and nothing sold on. See the Cookie Policy.
What we use it for
- To reply to your application and, if you join, to set up and run your Company Profile.
- To tell you about the cohort, the product and changes that affect you. You can opt out of these emails at any time.
- To understand how the site is used and make it better.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Your business data
When you connect systems such as Xero and Stripe, Optiseed reads your data to build your profile. Those connections are read-only, approved on each provider’s own screen, and can be revoked by you at any time. What you share from your profile, with whom and for how long is decided by you.
Who we share it with
The services we rely on to run Optiseed — hosting, email and the analytics described above — process data on our behalf under agreements that bind them to these rules.
How long we keep it
Application and waitlist details are kept while we are in touch about a place, and deleted if you ask us to. Account data is kept for as long as your account is open, and your profile data for as long as you choose to keep it with us.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
